We did it. We moved into our house on February 1 2016. Life is finally settling in with new jobs new garden and a whole lot of sorting and disposing of on the go (oh and DIY in the house). I have never been one to sort out what I don't want before a move. it has always been an after thought.
Now situated in South Yorkshire we are both loving the location, the people, the countryside and an endless number of places new to us to enjoy and explore. Upping stakes and moving to somewhere totally new to you is not the easiest thing in the world. It can cause moments of terror and joy but for us it has been worth it.
We are the same distance from London as we were in Somerset but the train service is direct. We are about four hours from Edinburgh rather than nine or more. Only a couple hours from Liverpool and the west coast, so really on such a strangely shaped island we are pretty centrally located.
As I am reminded of regularly we are not in England we are in Yorkshire/South Yorkshire and it is a whole new (different) world.
